ABOUT US

Emma & Otto’s Ice Cream was founded by Skinner/Strand and family in the summer of 2021. The name comes from the Skinner family's great great GREAT grandparents Emma and Otto Strand who came from Sweden and settled in Poulsbo in the early 1900’s. Otto worked at Blakely Harbor on Bainbridge as well as the railroad yards in Poulsbo. Among Emma's most prized possessions from Sweden was a hand crank Husqvarna ice cream maker that she used to share the love of ice cream with her family and church gatherings.

Today Emma & Otto’s Ice Cream continues this legacy by delivering handmade quality ice cream and waffle cones made from scratch to the community and beyond. It was purchased in 2022 by Catherine and James Rudolph.
